Final Manuscript Submission


Step by Step Guide for Final Manuscript Submission:
  • Write your paper on the provided A4 doc format of the IEEE Manuscript Templates for Conference Proceedings. The template can be downloaded from the following link: [Final Manuscript Template (.doc)].

    Important: The final manuscript must contain a minimum of 4 pages and a maximum of 6 pages, including references and appendices. Papers should not contain page numbers, headers and footers    .

  • Create an IEEE eXplore compliant pdf file of your final manuscript using IEEE PDF eXpress® service. IEEE PDF eXpress® is a free service provided by the IEEE, however you are required to register before using this service. Instructions on how to use the IEEE PDF eXpress® service can be found below.

    Note: Preparation of the final manuscript using the IEEE PDF eXpress® Service is strongly recommended.

  • Before Creating a PDF, please add the copyright notice to the bottom of the first page of your source document
    • The copyright notice For papers in which all authors are employed by the US government, the copyright notice is: U.S. Government work not protected by U.S. copyright
    • For papers in which all authors are employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, and Australia), the copyright notice is: 978-1-5386-6023-2/18/$31.00 ©2018 Crown
    • For papers in which all authors are employed by the European Union, the copyright notice is: 978-1-5386-6023-2/18/$31.00 ©2018 European Union
    • For all other papers, the copyright notice is: 978-1-5386-6023-2/18/$31.00 ©2018 IEEE

  • Please run and check your final paper through IEEE PDF eXpress Plus with Conference ID 43687XP.

  • Authors have to use the IEEE PDF eXpress Plus site to validate their papers.

    Important: Any changes made to a PDF after IEEE PDF eXpress Plus conversion or PDF checking may invalidate Xplore compatibility. This includes headers, page numbers, copyright notice, watermarks, etc. If any of these elements are desired, they should be added to the document before a PDF is created.

  • All PDFs to be included in Xplore (e.g. title page, copyright page, author index, etc.) should be validated through PDF eXpress for Xplore compatibility.

    I    mportant: Do not change the file name created by the pdf eXpress service. The file size of the final manuscript must be less than 2MB.

  • Submit the created pdf file to ICSGTEIS 2018 by uploading the file via your account at Udayana University Conference Management System (https://ocs.unud.ac.id/index.php/icsgteis/ icsgteis2018/login). Step by step guide for submitting the final manuscript paper on our conference management system can be downloaded from the following link: [Steps to submit the Final Manuscript Paper – Conference Management System]. In case you have difficulties in uploading the file, please email the final manuscript to icsgteis2018@unud.ac.id.

Before Creating a PDF

  • Write your final document on the provided IEEE Manuscript Templates for Conference Proceedings.
  • Add the copyright notice to the bottom of the first page of your source document. If necessary, contact Satya Kumara at satya.kumara@unud.ac.id for the appropriate copyright notice.
  • Proofread your source document thoroughly to confirm that it will require no revision.

Creating your PDF eXpress Plus Account

  • First-time users should do the following:
  1. Select the “New Users – Click Here”
  2. Enter the following:
    • 43687XP for the Conference ID
    • Your email address
    • A password
  3. Continue to enter information as prompted.
  4. An online confirmation will be displayed and an email confirmation will be sent verifying your account setup.
  • Previous users
  1. Previous users of PDF eXpress or IEEE PDF eXpress Plus need to follow the above steps, but should enter the same password that was used for previous conferences.
  2. Verify that your contact information is valid.
  • Returning users
  1. Enter the following:
    • 43687XP for the Conference ID
    • Your email address
    • Your password
  2. For each conference paper, click “Create New Title”.
  3. Enter identifying text for the paper (title is recommended).
  4. Click “Submit PDF for Checking” or “Submit Source Files for Conversion”.
  5. Indicate platform, source file type (if applicable), click Browse and navigate to file, and click “Upload File”. You will receive online and email confirmation of successful upload.
  6. You will receive an email with your Checked PDF or IEEE PDF eXpress Plus-converted PDF attached. If you submitted a PDF for Checking, the email will show if your file passed or failed.
  7. If the result is failed, please proofread the generated PDF file thoroughly. There could be missing symbols, equations, graphs and other reported errors. Please make necessary corrections to the source file and repeat the conversion process again. If problems persist, please request advice from the IEEE PDF eXpress Plus online help.
  8. Submit the final manuscript to ICSGTEIS 2018 by uploading the file via your account at Udayana University Conference Management System. Please do not change the file name created by the IEEE PDF eXpress Plus service. The file size of the final manuscript must be less than 2MB.

Contacting PDF eXpress® Support

  • Access the Publications Support Center for IEEE PDF eXpress®.
  • If you do not find an answer in the “Find Answers” tab, go to the “Ask a Question” tab.
  • Your question will be forwarded to IEEE PDF Support and answered within 3 business days.
  • Site support is maintained via 24 hour online help (PDFSupport@ieee.org).
